Incredible kindness!

Do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16

Good morning, friends!

He was a seller of second-hand shoes. He seemed to be in his 70’s, and was so tired as nobody was buying his shoes. Then, a little girl came to him saying, " Sir, may I polish your shoes?" The old man took pity on her, smiled and gave her a shoe to polish. The girl said, "I polish the shoe because I need money to buy my brother a new school uniform." The old man replied, "Oh, little girl just stop doing this. Come with me and I will buy a uniform." Then they walked to a store and he bought a uniform.

This act of incredible kindness, shown by someone who has so little for himself, proclaims an ultimate truth. The Bible talks a lot about showing kindness. A few sample verses are given below.

“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8 We hesitate to extend our kindness to those who we believe don’t deserve it. But remember we are not worthy of God’s kindness and love. We receive it for free, and so we are called to be kind for free.

John 15:12 says, "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.” Kindness can never originate without love. Only when we love others we can be kind to others. The Bible tells us all our gifts, like prophecy, speaking in tongues, knowledge, faith in God, etc… are not greater than love. In other words, love is the greatest among all these gifts we possess.

Matthew 25:35-40 ‘Jesus says, “For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me." Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink? 'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 'And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”’ What a beautiful explanation of how He wants us to serve Him! Not all that call Him, “Lord, Lord” will enter Heaven, but those who do His will!

Galatians 6:2 leads us to bear one another's burdens, to fulfill the law of Christ.

God doesn’t call us just to pray for others in need. Our duty doesn’t end here. He sends people to us so we can pray for them AND help them when they are in need.

We know a saying “Helping hands are better than praying lips.” But those who hope in God know the importance of God in our lives. So we believe that both praying lips and helping hands are important.

When you see a puppy is sinking in the pool, what benefit is there if you just close your eyes and start praying that God would somehow save it as it sinks completely to the bottom?

Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:16

So what are we waiting for? Reach out to those hands that are lifted up for help!

Stay blessed! Have a wonderful day!

My pregnancy journey

I got married in Aug 2013, but never got to see positive Urine pregnancy test. NEVER! I won't say I was greatly disappointed as I was also waiting for few things between me and husband to settle down slowly and it took a while. Once things became alright everyone started expecting and wherever we went we got plenty of advice and tips. We were hesitant to take Sunday's classes due to the initial issues between us, but somehow for the past two years we have been teaching little children every Sunday.
In the meantime, we tried multiple doctors (no big treatments) and were bored with the same repetitive scans and tests, which reported no issues as such. The last scans taken in 2017 reported I had little harmless cysts and they would take time to resolve and the doctor would stop even the few tablets I had to take on 5 days at the start of my cycle. I would have to be honest here. My cycle - can vary from 26 days to 60 days too. You can hardly guess what my fertile days are, includ…

When love touches you!

Warm greetings!! I have been quite busy with my little one. Yes, I have been blessed with a baby girl after a wait of more than 3.5 years and she is 3 months old today, by the pure grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please keep her (Janice) in your prayers.
“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.“ 1 Peter 1: 22
As I read this verse, this morning, I was carried away in my own thoughts as to how I can love from the depth of my heart. Is it even possible? Peter once behaved as an unfaithful one to Jesus to whom he was so close for about 3.5 years, when he denied Jesus to the core. He even cursed him as he was scared for his own life, and now it is quite funny to hear about deep love from such a person, by the way. J
After my baby girl was born, to be honest, I could not say if I really loved her. Because my mind was completely occupied by recovery, long days and nights, sleep deprivat…

Be Beautiful!!!

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13 : 16
This is a great story that I have read on the internet.

When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that her son was missing. She took him to the concert to show her appreciation toward his progress on the piano lessons. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy’s ear, “Don’t quit, keep playing.” Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running descant. Together, the old master and the young novice tra…
