A grateful heart!

I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart.Psalms 9 : 1
My heart is filled with joy. I am thinking about it over and over again. J
My younger sister is doing her final year Engineering. She is staying away from my home for her studies. She reached my home yesterday and gave a parcel to both my dad and my mom. As soon as they opened it, they saw a beautiful saree for my mom and a shirt for my dad. My mom even thought that it was sent either by me or my brother. She was so surprised that those were bought by her before she boarded the bus to our hometown.
To me, she is always a kid and so to my parents too. She and her friends are always so naughty and sometimes I worry about this. But this act of her shows that she behaves matured.
How great is my joy! I am sure my mom & dad too feel the same. The happiness is not because she bought something for them or saved her pocket money to buy dresses for them, but it is because how she was so thoughtful and she should have saved money …

Even my simple desires!

What is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them?Psalms 8 : 4
Good morning, friends. It’s the time to think about God’s another characteristic. He cares for us! Below is just an incident that happened to my friend.
It crossed the regular office timing, so I and my fellowship hurried up to board a late evening shuttle. By the time we reached the parking space, the bus was full. So we just walked outside of our campus. Then suddenly we planned to have dinner at a hotel. I have eaten fish fry only a very handful number of times in my lifetime. I ordered the fish fry. But after it was served, I was not able to eat it and so I packed it up to my room. I boarded a bus after the dinner where I met another friend.
Before I got down at my stop, I handled the parcel to her and reached my home. The very next morning during our fellowship time, she shared her testimony that she wanted to have fish the previous night. But she didn’t have time to go out. The rest of th…

Unfailing Love!

Turn, LORD, and deliver me;save me because of Your unfailing love. Psalms 6 : 4
Good morning, friends! Yesterday we read about the ‘Sustaining grace’ of the Lord. Today let us meditate about another nature of God. It is His ‘Unfailing love’.
King David says in Psalms 7 : 8, “Vindicate me, LORD, according to my righteousness,  according to my integrity, O Most High.” I remember Michael Wiebe, a missionary in Campus Crusade speaking about King David. He told that David was a great King, yet he was also an ordinary man. Why? It is very simple. He has committed adultery with Bathsheba. He has murdered her husband by planning wicked schemes. Yet he remained the man of God’s own heart! How is that even possible?
My fellowship leader in one of his sermons told that even though he sinned, as soon as he was convicted by the Lord through Nathan, he immediately turned back to God. He confessed his sins and he didn’t remain in his sinful nature. He learnt a good lesson from the Lord after which he d…

Sustaining grace!

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. Psalms 3 : 5

Good morning, friends!
You know how restless a King who rules his dynasty would be! Wars everywhere, troubles from his own son, etc… still made King David a true worshiper! It’s surprising to me how King David worshipped! I would think that King Solomon who was blessed with peace would have worshipped. But it is the reverse that happened! King David worshipped and remained the man after the Lord’s own heart.
A few months back, I was working for my first on site project. Not to mention much about that project here as few of you already know about how it took away all my time. A normal human being has to sleep at least a few hours every night and has to have food at least twice a day. This hectic project took almost all the days and nights and gave me no real sleep or food. The reason why IT companies give holidays during the weekend is, to let their employees refresh themselves leaving all their project issues…
