Better than Tom, Ben & Ann?

It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 2 Peter 2 : 21
Good morning, friends.
Who are Tom, Ben and Ann? Well, they are my new friends. :)
I bought an iPod Touch recently. I always like to play the Hearts game on it. You know why? Because most of the time I win the game. These three are my computer players who don’t have artificial intelligence. I believe you know the rules of Hearts. When we see someone playing the cards that could make us lose the round, we will make sure that we don’t play the cards with high numbers or face cards. But you know what they all do? They will play the cards as defaulted. They can never think that playing the card will make them lose. So they keep on playing the cards from the same losing family again and again making me a winner all the time. I wonder if I would ever win if they have artificial intelligence and could m…

You are special!

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.Psalms 139 : 13, 14
Good morning, friends!
Here is something which reminded me how special we are in the sight of God.
Recently I prepared ‘Sambar rice’. I thought of using some vegetables in it. I opened the fridge to select the vegetables and you know what I picked up? The brinjals (egg plants) and the tomatoes which would spoil in a few days and left all the fresh ones for future use. I also prepared a lot to save it for another day. This is called cooking for the namesake and try avoid preparing something for the next day. If I were God, I guess I would have written some codes to create a bunch of human beings on a single day and have taken rest all the other days. :)
When I think of how God created us, it amazes me. In my prayer cell, I heard one speaking about how God created us. He didn’t use any reusa…

Jehovah Jireh, MY Provider!

My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4 : 19
Good morning, friends! November month is very special for me. You know why? I celebrated my Birthday last Friday (11/11/11). I am completing my 1 year in USA today. Soon I will be completing my 5 years with my work. During all these years, the Lord has been soooooooo good to me. Below is just one incident which explains the Lord’s love & care for me.
On my Birthday (last Friday as I wrote earlier) I felt so hungry by 1.15 PM and as I didn’t take lunch from home I had to eat from the canteen. I knew that the caterers will be done by 1.30 PM every day at my office. By 1.15 PM, I was shocked after I realized that I left my debit card at my home itself and I didn’t have cash too. I don’t bother about lunch usually, but I was starving that day. I quickly searched some of my friends who sit next to me at my office. But they all went for having lunch in a nearby hotel. I was sure that the…

A grateful heart!

I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart.Psalms 9 : 1
My heart is filled with joy. I am thinking about it over and over again. J
My younger sister is doing her final year Engineering. She is staying away from my home for her studies. She reached my home yesterday and gave a parcel to both my dad and my mom. As soon as they opened it, they saw a beautiful saree for my mom and a shirt for my dad. My mom even thought that it was sent either by me or my brother. She was so surprised that those were bought by her before she boarded the bus to our hometown.
To me, she is always a kid and so to my parents too. She and her friends are always so naughty and sometimes I worry about this. But this act of her shows that she behaves matured.
How great is my joy! I am sure my mom & dad too feel the same. The happiness is not because she bought something for them or saved her pocket money to buy dresses for them, but it is because how she was so thoughtful and she should have saved money …

Even my simple desires!

What is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them?Psalms 8 : 4
Good morning, friends. It’s the time to think about God’s another characteristic. He cares for us! Below is just an incident that happened to my friend.
It crossed the regular office timing, so I and my fellowship hurried up to board a late evening shuttle. By the time we reached the parking space, the bus was full. So we just walked outside of our campus. Then suddenly we planned to have dinner at a hotel. I have eaten fish fry only a very handful number of times in my lifetime. I ordered the fish fry. But after it was served, I was not able to eat it and so I packed it up to my room. I boarded a bus after the dinner where I met another friend.
Before I got down at my stop, I handled the parcel to her and reached my home. The very next morning during our fellowship time, she shared her testimony that she wanted to have fish the previous night. But she didn’t have time to go out. The rest of th…

Unfailing Love!

Turn, LORD, and deliver me;save me because of Your unfailing love. Psalms 6 : 4
Good morning, friends! Yesterday we read about the ‘Sustaining grace’ of the Lord. Today let us meditate about another nature of God. It is His ‘Unfailing love’.
King David says in Psalms 7 : 8, “Vindicate me, LORD, according to my righteousness,  according to my integrity, O Most High.” I remember Michael Wiebe, a missionary in Campus Crusade speaking about King David. He told that David was a great King, yet he was also an ordinary man. Why? It is very simple. He has committed adultery with Bathsheba. He has murdered her husband by planning wicked schemes. Yet he remained the man of God’s own heart! How is that even possible?
My fellowship leader in one of his sermons told that even though he sinned, as soon as he was convicted by the Lord through Nathan, he immediately turned back to God. He confessed his sins and he didn’t remain in his sinful nature. He learnt a good lesson from the Lord after which he d…

Sustaining grace!

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. Psalms 3 : 5

Good morning, friends!
You know how restless a King who rules his dynasty would be! Wars everywhere, troubles from his own son, etc… still made King David a true worshiper! It’s surprising to me how King David worshipped! I would think that King Solomon who was blessed with peace would have worshipped. But it is the reverse that happened! King David worshipped and remained the man after the Lord’s own heart.
A few months back, I was working for my first on site project. Not to mention much about that project here as few of you already know about how it took away all my time. A normal human being has to sleep at least a few hours every night and has to have food at least twice a day. This hectic project took almost all the days and nights and gave me no real sleep or food. The reason why IT companies give holidays during the weekend is, to let their employees refresh themselves leaving all their project issues…

Blessed are those who mourn!

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5 : 4
Good morning, friends. Real life incidents make more sense and they have much effect in our lives. So here comes one today.
Some of you may remember that I was admitted in a hospital when I was in Nashville for 9 hours due to a pain in the abdomen. The Lord kept reminding me saying, “The Egyptian you see today, you will not see it anymore.” That was the only thing that gave me hope in spite of what the doctors told as I didn’t have my mom or dad next to me. It was in March, 2011.
Now it is Sep, 2011. It has been nearly 6 months since then. Doctors told that the pain may come again and if it comes, then I need to go back to them. But as per the Lord’s promise to me, I didn’t face that pain anymore after that day.
Last Saturday, I went to North Mississippi River Park with my Church friends. It was such a wonderful day that we spent there playing lot of games, eating all that we could. J After coming back I had a lot of p…

Jehovah Jireh!!

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.Proverbs 3:5-6
Good morning, friends! I'm here with a testimony.
After returning from office, I was searching for my personal laptop at my house and I didn't find it for a while. Here the maintenance people can come in anytime even when we're not present. But they are trustworthy. So I didn't worry because I knew that I should have misplaced it today. Then I realized how much I'm trusting even the people whom I have never known before.
Many times I worry too much about what will happen to me in the future. But Bible asks me not to lean on my own understanding. I know I will first try out all the possible ways on my own strength before leaning on the Lord. When everything fails me, as I have no other go, I would submit myself and my cares on Him.
It was just a day before I started from Nashville I got a confirmation that I n…

Praise Him! Praise Him!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:6,7
Good morning, friends! Let me share something which I read in the book by Leann Albrecht, ‘Screaming on the inside.’ Let me write the same just like she narrates but a little shortened to include the basic essence of her inner heart.
It was the second time I became pregnant after I lost my first unborn baby after many years of my marriage. My body released another unborn child when I was in the middle of a double-header live worship event with Ron Kenoly and Don Moen. It was hard to concentrate on singing. I don’t know how I survived the long hours of agony before we finished the recording and the rehearsals. The longing for children persisted as and when we visited doctors and the specialists we could and had surgeries. We even tried…

Count, count, count!!!

I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us.Isaiah 63 : 7
Recently I’ve been to a hospital in USA (I think that is the first place I’ve visited in Nashville) and those were the horrible 9 hours. I waited for more than an hour to have the receptionist calling my name and the doctors and technicians without treating my pain started taking all the tests they could. Without my parents standing next to me, in a foreign country, a great fear captured my heart and I could remember my eyes crying silently for all those hours seeing the doctors coming in and giving me all the terrific reasons for why I was there even before the results came.
I was continuously asking the Lord for why I was there like an orphan. Some serious plans of going back to India, or to continue here in US, fear, pain and every kind of emotion literally made me the worst patient ever.
After returning also I spent 2 days crying & thinking …

Just Believe!

Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”Luke 8 : 50
Below is a very short passage from Luke 8, but it has a whole lot of truth.
A man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.   As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”  While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”
Jairus fell …

Replace IT!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:6,7
Hi friends,
Good morning. I many times wonder why I don’t change the subject to Monthly Word of God. :) I know our God is a God who speaks to our hearts all the time, not on a specific day and time.
I’m very happy. You know why? Because I have severe headache. :)  Wondering why this fellow is happy for headache? That’s because I got no sleep. It is 12.50 AM here in Nashville when I started typing this message. When King Ahasuerus got no sleep there came deliverance to the people of God. The next time when you roll over and over on your bed, thank God for He is going to bring deliverance to the you and your people. :)
This week is a busy week for me which starts with code review. I have no idea how it would go. I think I would have got…

Cling on to Him!

Hi friends,
You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the people.Psalm 77:14 Glad to greet you all today with another testimony!

I have not touched enough my new personal laptop I would say. As my roommate’s husband came here to be with her this weekend and as he didn’t bring his laptop and as they both thought to work from home today, they needed another laptop. She asked me whether she could use mine for today and I don’t know why I was hesitant to say okay, but then somehow I handed it to them and called one of my colleagues to walk with me toward office. He is not working in my project, but then I was just telling about a question which my client manager has asked me last evening. I came up with many complex things to answer her this morning, but during our conversation he just spoke one simple line. It was highly non-technical. But God gave me a very good hint from his line and I was able to come up with a pretty simple logic which the client gladly accepte…

His love and His faithfulness!

"It is good to praise the Lord, and make music to Your Name, O Most High, to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night."Psalm 92:1,2
Good morning, friends.
Psalm 92:1,2 say that it is good to praise the Lord and sing out to Him and to proclaim His love in the morning and His faithfulness at night. Why do we have to do that? Do you want to know the reason? Here you go.
Last night after my offshore call, I went to sleep and in the morning I got up on time. There are many who have accumulated wealth but still they can’t find a way to sleep peacefully. There are many who can’t eat the food they want to eat. But I have no such restrictions/problems. When I close my eyes the Lord gives me sleep. I can eat whatever I want.
When I got up this morning, I felt that I’m very happy today. Though the situations around me have not changed, I could still feel the happiness inside me. I’m thankful to Him for He is taking care of me 24/7. Even when I sleep, my Savior nev…

Count your blessings!

You would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.Psalms 81:16
I’m glad to share what I’m experiencing recently!
Before my journey to Nashville one thing I greatly worried about was I didn’t know anyone here and the client was also new. On the other side I felt happy because many worship leaders are living in and around Nashville so I could attend their concerts.
When a few days were left out for my travel to USA, I heard that one of the friends whom I knew from a fellowship works at Nashville and contacted him. Believe me, I was not accustomed with any of the modern devices, not even the dryer and washer, vacuum cleaners, bath tubs, piped gas stoves, etc… He taught me all the basic things that I needed and left me at the hotel. Finding a girl roommate in Nashville is pretty tougher, but at the second week of my stay at hotel, God brought me a wonderful roommate and as soon as she went back to India, He brought another one who now stays with me at my…
